There are two ways to request items from other libraries. The most commonly used method is through the "I-Share" catalog. First you need an account. This one-time process allows you to log in to the catalog using a username and password that you choose. Instructions for creating an I-Share account are available in this tutorial. To request an item, click on the "Request this item" link located directly under the information about each copy, as illustrated below. It works best to request the first or second available copy.

If you need to request journal or magazine articles, or books that are not available in the I-Share catalog, you need to complete an Interlibrary Loan request form for articles or books.
